HVAC
The HVAC module, or zoned air conditioning system, allows for independent temperature control in the driver’s and passenger’s zones and is present in every vehicle – we don’t name it, but we use it without needing to analyze how it works. We simply set the desired temperature and air outlet direction. Some vehicles are equipped with full air conditioning, others only with a heating function, but the fact remains that the entire process of delivering air to the passenger cabin is carried out by the HVAC system.
With a production capacity of 350,000 HVAC modules per year, a new product leaves the assembly line every 2 minutes. The production process is based on manual assembly, supported by automated inspection stations that check the core functions of the HVAC system (airflow, leaks, and noise).
Currently, HVAC modules are produced for two clients: SCANIA (8 models) and DAF (3 models).
