Sanden Manufacturing Poland is a company within the Japanese holding SANDEN HOLDINGS CORPORATION – the leading global manufacturer of compressors for automotive air conditioning.
Production in the plant located in the Legnica Special Economic Zone in the Polkowice subzone has started in 2005. Over 40,000,000 sqm of production area holds manufacturing processes, including: production of bodies by high-pressure aluminium casting, mechanical treatment and assembly of complete compressors.
Each year, Polkowice produces about 3 million compressors, which are delivered to European assembly plants of the biggest car manufacturers, which include, among others Volkswagen Group , Volvo Car Cooperation, Jaguar Land Rover, Ford, Stellantis (Opel, PSA), Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi Alliance. Currently, the company produces roughly 95% of PX compressors for Sanden International (Europe) customers.
Since 2017, the Polkowice plant has assembly lines for HVAC systems (automotive heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems) for SCANIA and DAF manufacturers, with a production capacity of 140 thousand units per year.
